"Honorable (Fineprint's Vow)" Verse: If you know Fineprint, you know I make the worthwhile out of nada Burn the earth down, proud an' proper, turn my work out, sound is lava Soundin' hotter than the rest around, best turn down that yada All that yackin', dog I'm cacklin', sit that mess on down, don't bother Let it rest now, pal no further, get arrested now for murder We're infected now, it's worsened, effected countless persons Subject to sounds an' hurtin', like neglected children starvin' Dejected, feelin' nauseous, disrespected, reelin', cautious Many steps - past the margin, plenty left - sad an' sobbin' On yo' left - fastly marchin'; grow yo' rep an' cats will nod then Be humble, have no problems, will meet you at the top if Lord wills it, clear the obstacles we're riddled wit' like Gotham Dudes be jokers, I ain't Arkham; no jokin', I'm here markin' Deep stroke - 'til I reach bottom, breach open, now I got 'em I'll forever be determined, dedicated to what's mapped out Get better as I burn my fam a way in; I can't crap out Never blackout... keep shinin' in the bright of day Small things to a GIANT, stand defiant in the livest way Take jewels an' apply 'em, it's a science to the rhymes I say Fools aware that I am king, 'cause that's all that I convey What's in this rhyme ain't a fifth of all that I can say So in due time, you'll have that gift in palm, but not today Piece of my mind, hopin' peace arrives an' finds a place Leavin' behind all that grief grindin' my mind these days Hook(x2): Wit' whatever I do, I keep it honorable Throw caution out wit' my moves, one day they'll honor ya' dude No more - runnin' to them, I'll have them comin' in pools Know if you fuckin' wit' him, he'll keep it honorable
2.
"Drawin' Lines (feat. Early Morning Madness)" Verse 1: This one here's for all those who done turned they backs on me The fairweather friends often goin' lax on me It done got me to the point where I can't relax, homie Paranoid an' aggy, like a heart attack is close, G We ain't talked in years, thinkin' they still know me Alone wit' my tears, wasted time you still owe me Steady waitin' on that love you promised you would show me Would've given you the world, but now you can just blow me Feelin' e'rybody wants me under, minus the anesthesia Don't wanna see the underdog rise above it all 'Fore I can build it good, they want it torn asunder Never can satiate my hunger 'less they in the bleachers Don't know why I feel I need 'em, pro'lly never know So pathetic raisin' my hopes for props they'll never show Grudges held tight, so my light will never glow Stunted by those who fronted, I will never grow Hook(x2): I can never fall ever again I can never fall ever again, that's the truth, nigga Shame on me lettin' fakes drive me outta my mind Bridges burned, here I'm drawin' the lines Verse 2: Airplane Mode in effect, had to sequester myself Spendin' time wit' my thoughts, had to lecture myself Reignite the feelin', had to texture myself Boosted my morale sendin' texts to myself Was so pissed last night, layin' next to myself Shakin' an' shiverin', sayin' threats to myself Downtrodden an' faithless, so much less than myself Almost rage quit like that's what's best for my health Yeah, still feelin' like I'm not supposed to be here Done worked so damn hard, so there's not supposed to be fear A muthafuckin' man, there's not supposed to be tears Yet, here they are -- cheeks supposed to be clear The day I shine, niggaz pro'lly screw they face up at me Catch me on the humble, squeeze a .38 up at me Blowin' out my brains, insanely made 'em splat, G Lookin' in my eyes as I die like that made him happy Hook(x2)
3.
"Waitin' 4 a Smile (Insomniac Chronicles)" Verse 1: All I need in life is some muhafuckin' peace, no worry on my mind Don't wanna be another nigga holdin' on to a vice, gotta get up out my binds All this insecurity, within impurity, second-guessin' an' rage combined Immaturity, weak futurity; there's no surety I'll unwind Oh yeah, e'rybody love to criticize, open up an' they'll just minimize E'ry word, 'cause they can't empathize; in they eyes an' they still can't visualize Realize, I won't be happy 'til I'm sittin' on a million An' they won't be happy 'til I'm fuckin' out my feelin's This world... is straight devoid of compassion for It's fellow man, they straight avoid benevolent actions or They patronize, not out of love, but out of pretentious pity They feel good, lionized by selfish acts of giving That false sense of caring, a facade most often worn By the upper an' middle class, make you wish you had never been born Abort! Abort! But it's far too late to get up out them dregs Hold it down, in the trenches, 'til the time you can use ya' legs Hook(x1): I just gotta keep on pushin', you see what I'm workin' towards Don't know what lies ahead, but I know what I'm lookin' for I just wanna smile for once, can my bliss please be sincere? I'm sick of bein' up all night, worryin' what I'm doin' here Verse 2: Fuck is wrong wit' me? Keep feelin' like I really need a MAC, strapped, tucked in on to me Fuck's been done to me? Keep reelin' at the fact can't surpass e'ry fuckwit under me Fuckin' ornery, gettin' mad at my raps, outclassed, that's just a summary Fuckin' done wit' me, e'rybody from my past just laughs like "You're fuckin' old to me." Fuckin' scoldin' me, could you - please please let a muhafucka breathe? Fuckin' holdin' me, an' I hate bein' boxed in, just muhafuckin' leave What you told to me, I will never in my life ever hold to it steadfastly Exactly, even if I'm dead last -- you fools better tread aptly I'll be forever goin' in, it's like a M-6-7 when I hold the pen/pin So much dope within, can't hold it in; no goin' toe to toe, never boast again Hope it's soakin' in, wrote this to be potent, enough when you quote it, see that I'm chosen Somebody to be noticin', put me on ya' list as the coldest then 'Til I'm up here toast-a-in', my success, like I 'posed to been Tryna be right, but I'm 'posed to sin, goin' for the gold wit' no soul up in Waitin' for a smile, plenty hope within, on naysayers, ain't focusin' But it's still of note that I'm focused in, on the prize, no bogus win Hook(x2)
4.
"Constant Struggles of Black Skin **Bonus Track**" Verse 1: Despite current events, I'm remainin' a optimist Red lights occurrin' ain't deterrin' the kid, no stops to this Been knowin' since I was a youth all of the truth, systematic oppression Arrows glowin' over the proof, pragmatic confession Most rather deal in, what-ifs an' soon-to-comes I look at the now, what gifts could soothe an' calm Bring a reprieve to grievin', forthcomin' final answer Whether Black lives really matter, kill the ana That's - festerin' in the hearts of my people; darkness an' evil Parted my people, started to weave through, wit' heartless an' illegal Ways of life, livin' savage, fed up wit' the squalor Displayin' trife on the average, goin' head up for a dollar Made us feel our skin is a sin, encaged the melanin Tryna breed us out the populace, engaged an' let 'em in Seem doomed to struggle, but if a million strike back We could - break these chains, an' build our lives back Verse 2: In Hollywood, we're underrepresented, a somewhat epidemic 90 years dealin' wit' this struggle, unprecedented Lincoln Perry birthed a stereotype, but outside Stepin He was an intelligent, hardworkin' man Nowadays a legend, first Black actor to earn a mil Struggled gettin' equal pay wit' Whites, plus top-billed Later on his character, became controversial Perceived as negative by walks of life so universal Currently we got - leagues of Blacks on stage an' screen All wit' - respected reputations makin' major green After all that, only 35 done won awards Too many - givin' great performances to be ignored Now I can admit, not everybody is due an Oscar Some - do this proper, while others doin' caca Many - deserve props for not breakin' bad like Walt White Get that recognition 'fore they're wiped out by the Alt-Right
